! Stay Informed: A Couple of Cautions For Would-be Facial Experimenters:

  • The ingredients that put in homemade exfoliator can only last for a couple of days in the fridge, at most. Toss your homemade exfoliator before it goes bad.
  • It's best to use homemade exfoliator if you have normal or oily skin as opposed to sensitive skin like eczema or rosacea. Sensitive skin is more likely to become irritated with homemade ingredients.
  • Even though ingredients from your organic grocery can benefit your skin, high-tech organic ingredients still have a place in your skin care regimen. Homemade exfoliators and masks can't always deliver the same benefits as scientifically-developed products and may be very expensive.
